Bret Michaels Bails on Trump's Great American State Fair
Bret Michaels became the fifth performer to withdraw from Trump’s Great American State Fair, following Morris Day+Time, Young MC, Martina McBride, and The Commodores. Michaels stated that his shows focus on bringing people together, providing a place to have a great time, and helping audiences forget life’s stresses. He said the event shifted from a celebration of the country into something more divisive than he agreed to join. He also cited concerns about the safety of fans, band, crew, family, and himself, including threats he described as unfounded and unforgivable. Michaels therefore decided to step away from the performance. Of eight originally announced acts, only Vanilla Ice confirmed participation, while other acts faced uncertainty or lineup changes.
"Of the eight acts originally announced for the Great American State Fair, only Vanilla Ice has officially confirmed his participation. Meanwhile, Milli Vanilli's Fab Morvan - who did not sing on the group's studio recordings - is set to appear instead of any of the group's actual vocalists. C+C Music Factory appear to be having an internal dispute over whether they'll take the stage, while Flo Rida has yet to weigh in."
