"Amid the ups and downs of food halls in New York City, Time Out Market is banking on a second location with a stacked lineup. Eater previously reported that it will include chef Kwame Onwuachi's Patty Palace stand, but now the full list includes Unapologetic Foods' kebab restaurant Kebabwala, a burger stand by Bushwick bar food spot Lori Jayne, a new location of Taqueria El Chato, and much more."
"Kebabwala will serve up kebabs from northern India, as chef Chintan Pandya explains. There will be chicken, lamb, beef, and paneer options. Originally, parent company Unapologetic Foods was planning on opening the restaurant as a standalone in the East Village on Second Avenue, but that was put on hold because of gas line issues. (The team relocated its Long Island City restaurant, Adda, into the East Village to much acclaim.)"
"The burgers will be made with an "extra fatty custom beef blend," he tells Eater, from Brooklyn butcher shop Paisanos, and will cost $10 ($11 for a cheeseburger). There will also be black garlic sweet chile chicken wings, Buffalo chicken sandwiches (where the meat is made with a gluten-free breading and is marinating in a mixture that contains grana padana), crispy Sichuan mushrooms, frozen custards, and fries. Braverman is also working on opening a full-on Lori Jayne restaurant in Williamsburg in 2026."
Time Out Market Union Square will open at 124 East 14th Street in September. The vendor lineup includes Kebabwala, Patty Palace, Lori Jayne's burger stand, and a new Taqueria El Chato location. Kebabwala will serve northern Indian kebabs with chicken, lamb, beef, and paneer options. Unapologetic Foods delayed a planned standalone Kebabwala on Second Avenue because of gas line issues and relocated Adda into the East Village. Lori Jayne's stand will offer burgers made from an extra fatty custom beef blend from Paisanos, priced at $10 ($11 for cheeseburgers), plus wings, Buffalo sandwiches, Sichuan mushrooms, frozen custards, and fries. Sam Braverman plans a full Lori Jayne restaurant in Williamsburg in 2026.
