It's All About Morning Ramen at Returning NYC Japanese Restaurant
"Former Bowery Market food hall stand Ramen by Ra is coming back as a full restaurant this week, opening in the East Village at 70 East First Street, near First Avenue, on Saturday, November 15. Owner and chef Rasheeda Purdie started the business as a meal kit service in 2021, which turned into a pop-up, and then into the food stand in late 2023, which closed in March."
"Ramen by Ra's menu is still rooted in asa ramen, aka morning-time Japanese noodle soups. These include the maple-shoyu sausage and soy-cured yolk ramen and the apple-smoked bacon, Parmesan, and fried egg mazemen. It's a reservations-only restaurant, bookable on Resy for the six-seat space during daytime hours, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for 45-minute seatings (There is no on-site bathroom)."
