During 2024 Harlem Week, Amazon Access launched initiatives to address food insecurity impacting nearly two million New Yorkers. The program, led by Nancy Dalton, offers solutions to residents facing transportation challenges and time constraints. Amazon Access allows SNAP users to pay through EBT and offers a discounted grocery delivery subscription to alleviate food access issues, particularly in areas like the South Bronx and Southeast Queens where supermarkets are scarce. These services are crucial for those who need reliable access to healthy food, particularly the elderly and disabled.
"I know how difficult it can be for people to feed themselves and their families, especially when facing lack of time or transportation challenges," says Nancy Dalton.
"Many New Yorkers can benefit from Amazon Access programs designed to make grocery shopping more affordable and convenient, particularly the 1.7 million residents who rely on SNAP benefits."
