Dominique Ansel, known for the Cronut, has launched an innovative ice cream dessert called the Dipped Whisk just in time for spring. This creation features two sugar cone cups filled with layers of Talenti gelato ingredients, shaped into a sphere and placed atop a whisk dipped in vanilla Chantilly cream. Set for a limited giveaway from March 28 to 30 at his bakery, the Dipped Whisk aims to provide a fun, interactive dessert experience that emphasizes texture and flavor, moving beyond traditional ice cream vessels.
"It looks really light, but inside it tastes crunchy and bold - lots of different textures. When you bite into it, it's exciting," Ansel told The Post.
"People love baking not just for the final treat but for the textures and evolving flavors along the way," Bentley King, Talenti's head of marketing operations for U.S. Ice Cream, told The Post.
Ansel doesn't want people to eat ice cream in a cone or a cup, as he finds that boring. With the Dipped Whisk, he aims for something more engaging.
The Dipped Whisk combines two sugar cone cups with gelato layers, all topped with a whisk and Chantilly cream, creating a unique dessert experience.
