The finale of SNLâs 50th season, hosted by Scarlett Johansson, aimed to deliver a memorable conclusion but felt somewhat lackluster overall. Although the episode included highlights like a parody of 'Piano Man' and comedic shorts, the sketches generally lacked memorable roles, particularly for Johansson. While she performed adequately alongside cameos and musical guest Bad Bunny, the overall experience didnât quite meet heightened expectations for such a significant occasion in the show's history.
But Scarlett Johansson is an actor I like a lot, and she's a fitting enough choice for the finale... sheâs now officially the most frequent female host in the show's history.
The SNL-themed 'parody' of 'Piano Man' provided a nice enough introduction to commemorate this historic season.
Throughout the show, ScarJo contributed perfectly adequate work... the sketches didn't offer the most memorable or distinct roles.
That would be musical guest Bad Bunny, who shows up as a himbo air traffic controller who manages to get them on the ground safe after Googling 'how can I help an airplane to land good.'
