Ross Mathews and Wellinthon Garcia-Mathews opened their Bedford, New York home for inspection. They met in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in January 2020, and later became engaged in February 2021. They married at the Almar Resort in Puerto Vallarta in May 2022. Garcia works in education, and Mathews began his career as an intern on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. They published a children’s book, Tío and Tío: The Ring Bearers, inspired by their own marriage ceremony. Their Westchester County Midcentury Modern home dates to 1973, and they spend time there when Mathews is not filming.
"Mathews revealed in February 2021 that he and Garcia had become engaged. They married at the Almar Resort in Puerto Vallarta, where they first met, in May 2022. They have since published a children's book together, Tío and Tío: The Ring Bearers. It's about two boys who travel to Mexico to be ring bearers at their Uncle's wedding. The story was inspired by their own marriage ceremony."
"Mathews reflected on his childhood and his career, which began as an intern on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. However, despite his TV fame, Mathews said, "If you want the real inside story on me... well it's all about Wellinthon! I didn't feel like I'd 'made it' until Wellinthon married me!" The two men met in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in January 2020, before stay-at-home advice took effect."
"The Drew Barrymore Show meant that Mathews spends much of his time in New York. This led to the couple's Westchester County Midcentury Modern home. It dates back to 1973. "We came up to the Bedford area to visit a friend, and fell in love with the whole vibe...so we made it a mission to find a home here," Ross said. The couple still have an apartment in Manhattan, but head to Bedford whenever Mathews is not filming."
