Kevin Delgado, a 40-year-old man from Bayside, New York, has pleaded guilty for making a threatening online post against Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. The threat came after Nessel expressed her grief over the murder of her friend, Samantha Woll, a Jewish activist. Delgado's post, containing violent language, was motivated by Nessel's sexual orientation and religion. He faces charges of transmitting interstate threats, highlighting ongoing issues of hate crimes and threats against public officials.
"Threatening public officials is both illegal and unacceptable. The hateful comments made by Mr. Delgado online were especially outrageous," said Cheyvoryea Gibson of the FBI.
"I am shocked, saddened and horrified to learn of Sam's brutal murder. Sam was as kind a person as I've ever known," said Dana Nessel.
