Matt Bomer auditioned for Superman in a Warner Bros. project but lost the role after his sexuality was exploited against him. Despite this setback, he believes his varied career is more fulfilling and allows for more creative opportunities. Bomer reflects positively on the audition experience and recognizes that playing a superhero can make it difficult for actors to transition to other roles, which is something he appreciates avoiding. He acknowledges the financial benefits of such roles but remains content with his career trajectory.
