Easter in Dolores Park, hosted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, was a vibrant celebration filled with solidarity for the trans community. Sister Roma emphasized the theme, "No Easter without the T," highlighting current attacks on trans rights under the Trump administration. The event served as a defiant protest against these political challenges, featuring powerful speeches from community leaders, including State Senator Scott Wiener, who celebrated the event's defiance against oppression. The joyful spirit of the event uplifted messages of unity and resistance within the LGBTQ+ community.
I am really proud of our theme this year. No Easter without the T. It's to show our solidarity with the trans community, which is under brutal attack right now.
The transgender community has been at the forefront of queer liberation. From the Compton's Cafeteria riots to Stonewall - there is no LGB without the T.
I love this event because this represents everything they hate!
Rainbow energy is brighter than life itself. Free stolen immigrants and all of us who Trump would disappear.
