Sasha Velour, winner of Season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race, is performing in her hometown of Berkeley for the first time, kicking off a US tour with a show based on her 2023 book. Scheduled for June 4 to 15 at Berkeley Rep, the show features lip-sync performances, personal history, and drag art presentations. Velour's personal journey, from her academic family in Berkeley to a drag star, adds depth to the performance, which includes a diverse soundtrack and local guest performers for Pride Night on June 7.
