The defense argued the accusers had faulty memories or sought financial gain, maintaining any sexual contact was consensual. The brothers worked at Douglas Elliman before founding their own firm, Official. Beyond criminal charges, they faced approximately two dozen civil lawsuits, including one from reality television personality Tracy Tutor alleging drugging and assault.
