Nic Collins, son of Phil Collins, faced a challenge from Drumeo to learn and perform RUSH's "2112" suite in one session. The original 20-minute track, known for its complexity, pushed him to his limits. Despite initially feeling overwhelmed, with a humorous nod to legendary drummer Neil Peart, Nic ultimately mastered the drum parts and delivered an impressive performance. The positive feedback on YouTube highlighted the difficulty of the task, and Nic's accomplishment was celebrated with encouragement from viewers and Drumeo's Brandon Toews, who affirmed that Peart would be proud of his work.
In the Drumeo video, Nic has to play it all, minus "Discovery" (which doesn't have any drums), and agonizes over the task ahead of him, exclaiming, "Why do you have to be so good, Neil?," referencing legendary late RUSH drummer Neil Peart.
After learning each part, Nic gives a final performance of the "2112" suite, and absolutely crushes it, with Drumeo host Brandon Toews telling him, "Neil would be proud."
