Melo-D is a compact, foldable AI-powered guitar-like instrument that combines generative music tools, guided learning, and a touchscreen interface. The device collapses into backpack size using a hinged body system and includes a 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen for navigation, chord guidance, rhythm prompts, lyrics, and AI-generated content. It operates independently without a connected smartphone. Learning is designed to reduce technical barriers by replacing traditional notation and fret memorization with real-time illuminated guidance embedded in the neck. Color-coded “Rainbow Strings” and illuminated fret markers indicate finger placement while the display provides rhythmic timing cues. AI Jam mode generates playable backing tracks by selecting tones, genres, and stylistic vibes, including acoustic, electric, and lo-fi presets.
