Mavi has announced his first single of 2025 titled 'Landgrab,' featuring Earl Sweatshirt. This collaboration marks their second musical partnership, the first being in 2019's 'El Toro Combo Meal.' Produced by Hollywood Cole, 'Landgrab' comes with a music video directed by Alex Free. Mavi expressed that working with Earl signifies his transformation into a new phase as an artist, highlighting the importance of their collaborative relationship as he explores new artistic directions and allows for more collaborations in the future.
It makes sense that Thebe [Kgositsile aka Earl Sweatshirt] is the first rap feature, as I'm forming into a new shape of Mavi, doing a bunch of stuff for the first time.
My first few projects served as something like the preface to my story of me entering young adulthood and this industry, learning my powers in terms of rap, art, and business.
