The track is described as a prayer to a God of shortcomings and was developed from an early idea that was shelved, then revived during late demo practice when new ideas helped the song write itself. Hew shared “Reconciliation,” offering another taste of their debut album Your Version. Lucia & the Best Boys announced their album Picking Petals for July 31 via Communion and released “Big Romance,” featuring Abigail Morris of The Last Dinner Party.

I was listening to a lot of Wagon Christ at the time and wanted the song to basically be a Wagon Christ rip-off, but it just didn't feel right.”"
