"With the help of you all we have written, recorded, and produced the long awaited second WU LYF record.. The vision for the L Y F has been with us since the start. Way back in 2010 when we first sold the white on white bandana with the Heavy pop / Concrete Gold 12″-We foresaw a community of like-minds that would gather around the flame of our music, and through whose direct support we could operate with freedom, autonomy & the truth."
"Now 15 years later here we are-the initial version of the L Y F membership platform has been an experimental proof of concept-we have learnt a lot from it over the past year and behind the scenes we have been building Version 2.0."
WU LYF announces their highly anticipated second album after 15 years, titled 'A Wave That Will Never Break,' arriving April 10 through their L Y F members website exclusively, bypassing major streaming platforms. Produced by Spacemen 3's Sonic Boom, the album represents the band's vision of building a community-supported music operation with autonomy and creative freedom. The band reflects on their 2010 origins and the evolution of their membership platform, noting they've learned from the initial version and are developing Version 2.0. The album opens with the single 'Love Your Fate,' described as charging and anthemic. WU LYF will tour this spring, including a Brooklyn show at Elsewhere on April 24.
