"Wilco and Billy Bragg have announced they will perform their collaborative 1998 and 2000 Mermaid Avenue albums in full for the first time at Wilco's own Solid Sound festival on Friday, June 26th. The "Mermaid Avenue Live" performance - featuring Wilco and Bragg's recordings set to the unpublished lyrics of Woody Guthrie - will open the festival, which is set to take place at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts, from June 26th to June 28th, 2026. Wilco and Billy Bragg will perform Mermaid Avenue Live, presenting their collaborative 1998 and 2000 Mermaid Avenue albums in full, to open the Solid Sound festival on Friday, June 26, 2026. The festival will take place at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts, from June 26 to June 28, 2026. Three-day passes are available. The Mermaid Avenue project began when Nora Guthrie asked Billy Bragg to set Woody Guthrie's unpublished lyrics to music; Bragg then brought in Wilco and recorded 15 tracks for the 1998 album, followed by Mermaid Avenue Vol. II in 2000 and a 2012 box set with outtakes. Jeff Tweedy is also touring behind his solo album Twilight Override, with dates continuing through November.
