Ignacia Fernández, born in 1998 in Santiago, is a model and death metal singer crowned Miss World Chile after a death metal talent performance. She fronts the melodic death metal band Decessus, formed in 2020, and the band has released six singles, including "The Hollow Descent" and "Dark Flames." Fernández provided guest vocals for Chilean death metal group Alhazred on their 2023 EP Cúpula. Metal functions as a personal refuge and source of strength and performing on television served to break barriers. She is represented by Elite Model Management, is an animal activist, and will compete in next year’s Miss World.
