White Fence Announce First Album in Seven Years
"Tim Presley has announced the first new White Fence album since 2019's I Have to Feed Larry's Hawk. Produced by Ty Segall, arrives April 24 via Drag City. Star of Julia Ducournau's Titane-and Presley's wife-Agathe Rousselle helmed the music video for lead single " Your Eyes." Watch it below. In press materials, Presley said "Your Eyes" is about "Love/loss, addiction/rehabilitation, and a good long look in the mirror (by way of a shop window reflection in San Francisco). Presley published Under the Banner of Concern, a book of original drawings and poetry, in 2020. Orange is the first White Fence album since 2019, produced by Ty Segall and scheduled for release April 24 via Drag City. The lead single “Your Eyes” features a music video directed by Agathe Rousselle, star of Julia Ducournau’s Titane. “Your Eyes” centers on love, loss, addiction, rehabilitation, self-reflection framed by a San Francisco shop-window image, and the absurdity of life, with an intent to sing exuberantly. Ty Segall previously produced the 2014 White Fence album For the Recently Found Innocent and collaborated with Presley in 2018. Presley published a book of drawings and poetry in 2020.
