"I hope this song takes you to the places it took me as I went through a transformation mentally and physically throughout the process of making it. I had to live it to write it. An awakening. An unravelling."
"five visual worlds-from the heart of a microchip, through a brain full of bittersweet romantic memories, into the depths of AI consciousness, inside the eye, and finally through the shifting perspectives of machine and human."
Imogen Heap released an experimental 13-minute video that stitches together three recent songs: "What Have You Done to Me?", "Noise", and "Aftercare" into a continuous suite. The video was directed and edited by Daria Korsak and created across two years with support from Deadbeat Films. The visual concept immerses the viewer in five distinct visual worlds — from microchip interiors and bittersweet romantic memories to AI consciousness, the inside of an eye, and shifting machine-human perspectives. Heap described the work as born from a personal mental and physical transformation. Heap also released Speak for Yourself (20th Anniversary Remaster) via Megaphonic while reclaiming her music rights.
