The Wallflowers Announce Bringing Down the Horse Anniversary Trek
"Coming back after such a long time, we wanted to do something special for the 30th anniversary of Bringing Down the Horse. We decided to play what seems to be our fans' favorite Wallflowers album, and for us, we wanted to play one of our favorite Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers records, Long After Dark."
"Breaking Down the Horse is certainly the Wallflowers' most popular release. Selling more than four million copies and peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, the album included breakout singles "6th Avenue Heartache" and "One Headlight.""
The Wallflowers are launching an expansive North American tour to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their 1996 sophomore album Bringing Down the Horse. The band will perform the entire album alongside a complete cover performance of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' Long After Dark. Singer Jakob Dylan explained the decision was made to celebrate what fans consider their favorite album while also honoring one of the band's own favorite records. Bringing Down the Horse remains their most successful release, selling over four million copies and reaching No. 4 on the Billboard 200, featuring hit singles "6th Avenue Heartache" and "One Headlight." The tour spans multiple North American cities from April through May.
