"The Hold Steady wrapped up the tenth edition of their Massive Nights NYC show series, which happened Wednesday through Sunday (12/3-12/6) at Brooklyn Bowl. 2025 started with their first-ever seated "Storytellers" show at the venue, where they played Thrashing Thru the Passion track "Epaulets" for the first time since 2019 and debuted a new song, "Meet Me in the City.""
"Thursday was a full-album Separation Sunday set, followed by a second set of favorites from throughout their discography. Friday and Saturday were billed as surprise album sets, and those wound up being Stay Positive on Friday and Open Door Policy on Saturday. Friday and Saturday also each had "The Horn Steady NYC," aka Jordan McLean, Peter Hess, and Stuart Bogie, joining them for parts of the night."
The Hold Steady played four nights at Brooklyn Bowl from December 3–6, 2025 as the tenth Massive Nights NYC run. December 3 was a seated "Storytellers" performance that featured the return of "Epaulets" for the first time since 2019 and the debut of a new song, "Meet Me in the City." December 4 featured a full-album Separation Sunday set followed by a second set of favorites spanning the band's discography. December 5 was a surprise-album night devoted to Stay Positive, and December 6 presented Open Door Policy as the surprise album. Jordan McLean, Peter Hess, and Stuart Bogie joined as The Horn Steady NYC on the Friday and Saturday shows.
