"Want an easy way to figure out if someone is a little plugged into pop culture? Say the words "Glambot Guy" and if even a hint of recognition flashes across their face, it's time to get them to book one of those no-phones silent retreats in the woods."
"Everything began in January, on the Golden Globes red carpet, when viewers noticed that Jennifer Lopez seemed oddly cold toward Cole-she didn't speak to or even acknowledge him at all."
"Everybody on the internet should just calm down. I'm not here to tell anybody how they should feel, but there was only one other person outside of JLO who was in that conversation, and that was me."
Cole Walliser, known as Glambot Guy, did not work the Grammys red carpet after E! reportedly did not hire him while rethinking "its strategy around future telecasts" following negative headlines. Walliser has operated E!'s proprietary high-speed Glambot camera since 2016 and became a visible red-carpet fixture. Viewers noticed tension when Jennifer Lopez appeared to ignore Walliser on the Golden Globes red carpet; Walliser told critics to calm down and said only he and J.Lo were involved in that conversation. Past controversy included a resurfaced 2019 exchange in which Walliser was extremely dismissive toward bride-to-be Yinka Animashuan about affording the Glambot.
