Led by the deep-voiced Cameron Winter, the group from New York appeared at Flog Gnaw less than 24 hours after a hometown gig at the Brooklyn Paramount on Friday night. "We finished a tour but we couldn't stay away from the limelight, so we got on a plane just this morning," Winter told the crowd."
A sudden thunderstorm forced the postponement of Tyler, the Creator's flagship Flog Gnaw festival at Dodger Stadium by a week, leaving some attendees stranded and prompting lineup changes with Sombr, Tems and Clairo dropping out and Kali Uchis joining. Travelers with nonrefundable plane tickets adjusted plans while organizers rescheduled performances. When the Dodger Stadium gates reopened for the rescheduled date, operations ran smoothly and performances proceeded. Timothée Chalamet's Marty Supreme blimp appeared overhead as a visual gag without the ping-pong balls, and New York band Geese performed soon after flying in from a hometown show.
