Julia Cumming will release her debut solo album Julia on April 24 via Partisan Records. The record was recorded in Los Angeles with Brian Robert Jones and producer/engineer Chris Coady. Cumming's studio collaborators include drummer Garrett Ray, keyboardist Roger Joseph Manning Jr., and Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner on two tracks. The lead single "My Life" is accompanied by a music video directed by filmmaker Edgar Wright and is described as a "thesis statement" for the record. Pre-orders are available and Cumming has scheduled a short tour with dates in New York, Los Angeles, London, Manchester, Berlin, and Paris.
