Sugar Set Reunion Tour, Release First New Music in 30 Years
"It's a failed-relationship song, nothing too unique for me,"
"But the riff is definitely a Sugar-type riff, and it was fun to get the three of us on the floor together to record for the first time in ages."
"I don't want to get out too far in front of the skis, as they say, People's reactions will probably guide a lot of the possibilities in front of us, whether it's more songs or more shows. All three of us are all in for whatever feels right. I just want to see if people are still interested."
Sugar have reunited and launched new social media accounts, returning with their first new song in 30 years, 'House of Dead Memories'. The track was originally written for an aborted 20th-anniversary reunion and remained unreleased until now. Bob Mould described the song as a failed-relationship track with a Sugar-type riff and said the band enjoyed recording together for the first time in ages. The group announced two-night stands in New York (May 2–3, 2026) and London (May 23–24, 2026) with ticket and presale details provided. The lineup features Bob Mould, David Barbe, and Malcolm Travis, and the band is known for Copper Blue, File Under: Easy Listening, the Beaster EP, and 1995 B-sides from their 1992–1995 run.
