"All those affected will be refunded and the miserable shit asses responsible will be keelhauled. We're gonna duke nukem."
Sturgill Simpson, performing under the name Johnny Blue Skies, discovered that someone fraudulently posted and sold a leaked version of his album Mutiny After Midnight on Bandcamp. Simpson announced via Instagram that his team is not selling the digital album on the platform and is working with Bandcamp and relevant authorities to address the unauthorized sale. The artist stated that all credit card and transaction information, along with IP data, has been collected to identify the perpetrators. Simpson promised refunds for all affected customers and expressed strong intentions to pursue those responsible. Mutiny After Midnight is officially available only in physical formats, though it briefly appeared on the official Johnny Blue Skies YouTube account before its scheduled March 13 premiere.
