Dean DeLeo, guitarist of Stone Temple Pilots, has launched his new project One More Satellite, aiming to blend his signature sound with English singer Pete Shoulder. Their debut album, which features 10 tracks and includes contributions from DeLeo's children, is set for release on July 18. The lead single, "Paper Over the Cracks," showcases the chemistry between DeLeo’s guitar work and Shoulder's robust vocals. DeLeo initially intended the album to be instrumental but was inspired to collaborate with Shoulder, resulting in a dynamic and engaging musical partnership.
I was simply sitting on some songs I wanted to record. What started out as an instrumental album quickly changed soon after Pete and I chatted.
I was excited to hear the new music Dean wanted to collaborate on. We've worked together in the past, and it's always been an absolute pleasure.
