Soundgarden's surviving members Matt Cameron, Kim Thayil, and Ben Shepherd performed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2025 induction with a lineup of guest artists. Jerry Cantrell played guitar as Taylor Momsen sang lead on "Rusty Cage," with Momsen echoing some of Chris Cornell's movements. Brandi Carlile joined for a vibrato-driven rendition of "Black Hole Sun," with Momsen on the refrain. After acceptance speeches, Toni Cornell and Nancy Wilson delivered an acoustic "Fell on Black Days." Carlile had previously performed "Black Hole Sun" at the 2019 Chris Cornell tribute. Cameron and Thayil emphasized Seattle roots and identity.
