""This album is over a year in the making,""
""Without question as a band we pushed ourselves like never before. Especially when it comes to Eric. Myself, [guitarist] Zach [Myers], and [drummer] Barry [Kerch] are so honored to create, and work with such an extraordinary producer, engineer, mixer, songwriter, musician, performer, and bandmate. We are so excited, finally announce our 8th Studio album titled EI8HT alongside our 'Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour.'""
Shinedown will release their eighth studio album, EI8HT, on May 29 via Atlantic Records. The band will support the release with a 2026 'Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour' featuring Coheed and Cambria and DJ Rockfeed, with Black Stone Cherry and From Ashes to New on select dates. North American dates run May 13 through mid-September with a break in June and include major cities and smaller markets such as Austin, Jacksonville, Toronto, Albany, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and Vancouver. Artist ticket presales begin February 18 at 10 a.m. local time; general sales begin February 20 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. The new single "Safe and Sound" features heavy, stadium-ready guitar riffs and an expanded vocal range from Brent Smith.
