The one-day Back to the Beginning concert and livestream raised $11 million for Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acorn Children's Hospice after event-related costs. Production and logistical expenses for bringing performers in and out, and accommodations, reduced the net proceeds. Performers volunteered their time and received no payment. A widely circulated $190 million figure circulated on social media but proved inaccurate. The event included final performances by Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath and featured additional sets by major metal acts. The funds will be split among the three named charities to support their programs.
