Briefly

Sammy Hagar will release a live album titled Sammy Hagar & The Best of All Worlds Band - The Residency on October 10. The album captures performances by Hagar with Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony, and Kenny Aronoff at Dolby Live at Park MGM during their Las Vegas residency. The record includes 19 songs and features a live preview of Van Halen's "Summer Nights." The tracklist spans Van Halen classics such as "Right Now," "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love," and "Why Can't This Be Love," as well as Hagar solo staples like "Heavy Metal" and "I Can't Drive 55." Physical editions include "Panama." Pre-orders are available on vinyl and CD.
'Summer Nights' was one of the first songs we wrote for the 5150 record, on our very first day in the studio,
Eddie [Van Halen] played me that guitar riff and I just started singing 'summer nights and my radio,' and the rest of the lyrics just came out like a river of consciousness.
I don't think there's a better theme song for a beautiful summer night, so it had to be the first track this summer from the live album.
