Man's Best Friend is Sabrina Carpenter's seventh full-length album and features the single "Tears" with a video starring Coleman Domingo. The record leans into bold, TMI lyrics designed for cathartic, unrestrained live moments where fans can sing and scream along. Carpenter builds on the breakthrough success of Short n' Sweet (2024), which produced hits such as "Espresso," "Please Please Please," and "Bed Chem" and spent substantial time at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Short n' Sweet later returned as a deluxe edition with five additional tracks, including a Dolly Parton remix subject to Parton's content rules. A new run of tour dates begins in late October.
It is not for the pearl clutchers, the album is not for any pearl clutchers,
I think that's the thing, is sometimes people hear the lyrics that are really bold or they go, 'I don't want to sing this in front of other people.' It's like it's almost too it, it, it's TMI. But I think about being at a concert with, you know, however many young women I see in the front row that are screaming at the top of their lungs with their best friends. And you can go like, 'Oh, we can all, like, sigh of relief like, 'This is just fun.' And, and that's all it has to be.
I don't cuss, I don't make fun of Jesus. I don't talk bad about God, and I don't say dirty words on camera.
