Rush Is Returning to the Limelight With a Reunion Tour
"Here's a time signature we can finally understand: Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are reuniting Rush and will embark on a 2026 tour, a celebration of both their 50 years together as a band and the memory of Neil Peart. The tour, which will hit seven cities across the country for 12 dates, is employing drummer Anika Nilles to fill in behind Peart's notoriously virtuosic kit."
""The more we played our old songs for fun, the more fun it became," Lee explained. "And so that's put us in this terrible situation where we have to announce that we made a decision to go back on tour." Each show will pull "35 or so" favorite songs from Rush's catalogue to rotate on the set list from night to night, but each performance will be unified by a special tribute to honor Peart."
""Our music is special - it really is special," Lifeson added. "Being away from it for a while and revisiting it, I realized how difficult it is to play but how rich it is in its music and lyrics and everything that it represented." Below, Rush's Fifty Something Tour dates:"
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will reunite as Rush for a 2026 Fifty Something Tour celebrating their 50 years together and honoring the memory of drummer Neil Peart. The tour will span seven cities and 12 dates across North America, with Anika Nilles filling in on drums. Casual studio jam sessions led the duo to reverse earlier statements that they would never tour as Rush again. Each show will rotate roughly 35 favorite songs from the band's catalogue, and every performance will include a special tribute to Peart. Dates include Los Angeles, Mexico City, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Cleveland.
