Roddy Bottum Rules Out Faith No More Reunion: "I Just Don't See It Happening Again"
"We played a bunch of reunion tours, and I think we did what we kind of set out to do. So I don't think anyone's upset about it or anything. But I mean, for sure, getting back together would mean a big paycheck, but I think all of us are pretty good with what we did, sort of just, like, artistically with the band and committing to ourselves and playing with each other."
"I don't think anyone's sort of up for it at this point. We had a bunch of shows that we were gonna play, and they got canceled, just for various reasons. But I don't think the course that we were on has fixed itself. I just don't see it happening again, honestly."
"I don't think so. No."
Roddy Bottum does not expect Faith No More to reunite and believes no band members are currently up for more shows. The group canceled a run of 2021 concerts amid Mike Patton's post-lockdown mental health issues. Faith No More last released a studio album, Sol Invictus, in 2015 and last performed in support of it in 2016, with the Troubadour show on August 20, 2016, remaining the band's most recent concert. Bottum reflects that the reunion tours achieved their artistic goals and notes that the members are satisfied with the decisions they have made. Bottum has remained active with his queer-pop project Man on.
