Robyn Announces New Album Sexistential, Shares Title Track and "Talk to Me"
""Exploring my sensual life is the same feeling as when I make a good song," she said about the project in a press release. "It's such a beautiful kind of sensitive vibration that takes so much work to keep afloat. I feel like the purpose of my life is to stay horny - it doesn't even have to be about sex, but it's feeling sensual and attracted to things that I enjoy, and not letting anything take over that.""
""It was my cue," she explained. "I have to do this, I have to write a rap about IVF.""
Sexistential, due March 27 via Young, is Robyn's first album since 2018. The project frames sensual life as an energizing, sensitive vibration to sustain, emphasizing staying horny as a broader appetite for feeling and attraction. The title track includes a rap about IVF inspired by André 3000's remark. "Talk to Me" was written during the pandemic, influenced by Prince, and marks a first collaboration with Max Martin since "Show Me Love." The comeback single "Dopamine" preceded the album rollout and Robyn premiered new songs during televised and live New Year's performances.
