The record collects recent releases and new material, including the single " Mini Me," and the Smino collaboration " Brown Sugar." Redveil has also shared a new track titled " Lone Star," which features singer Carolyn Malachi and is accompanied by a video directed by Tyler Shuler. Promotional visuals for Sankofa, including cover artwork, have been published. A 2023 EP, Playing w/ Fire, preceded this album.
