Julia Steiner drew inspiration from ultra-high-energy folk in the style of The Dodos' Visiter, aiming for spooky, mysterious, pastoral lyrics and surreal vision-quest imagery. The song developed during an intense writing session at the Driftless Cabin in Wisconsin where the band worked through odd timings and arrangement challenges. A Nuccio-directed video was shot on a sprawling Central Illinois farm.
