Puscifer Announce New Album & 2026 Tour, Unveil Single "Self Evident"
"Instead of just saying, 'I want this to sound like Fleetwood Mac on cocaine if they had a baby with PJ Harvey,' Maynard was showing us his intention, which was really cool. In Puscifer, any idea can totally change without any preciousness, and everybody is on board - not unlike an insane asylum. We found each other because we're demented in a symbiotic way."
"From the outset, we had discussed an element of rawness and edge, which guitar brings. We got rid of the guard rails and made the music more aggressive."
"We're definitely leaning into our early influences. It's the place where goth meets punk. It's where I came from."
Puscifer will release their fifth studio album Normal Isn't on February 6. The band has unveiled the lead single "Self Evident" ahead of the album. A 2026 North American "Normal Isn't Tour" runs March 20 through May 14, visiting major cities including Las Vegas, Dallas, Boston, New York City, Detroit, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles, with comedian-musician Dave Hill providing support. An artist pre-sale begins October 22 with code PSC26; general on-sale begins October 24. Normal Isn't follows 2020's Existential Reckoning and leans into early influences where goth meets punk, with a focus on rawness, edge and more aggressive guitar. Mat Mitchell co-produced the record and contributors include Greg Edwards, Gunnar Olsen, Sarah Jones, Danny Carey and Tony Levin.
