"The current climate surrounding the events has created challenges that make it impossible for us to move forward in a way that delivers the experience our fans, artists, and partners deserve. Our goal has always been to bring people together through music, community, and shared passion."
"Punk rock should unify us, not divide us. We will not be performing at Punk In The Park. Viva la Revolution."
"Dead Kennedys have always stood firmly against authoritarianism, racism, and fascism. That has not changed. After these scheduled appearances, we will not be participating in future Punk in the Park events."
Brew Ha Ha Productions canceled the Punk In The Park 2026 festival, which was scheduled to begin April 18 in Pittsburgh and include a May 23 date in Vallejo. The cancellation followed controversy over promoter Cameron Collins' donations to President Trump's campaign. The Adicts withdrew as headliners on Thursday night, citing political reasons and stating punk rock should unify rather than divide. The Dead Kennedys, also headlining, initially planned to perform the scheduled dates but announced they would not participate in future festival editions, emphasizing their opposition to authoritarianism, racism, and fascism. Organizers stated the political climate made it impossible to deliver the experience fans and artists deserved.
