Primus' Les Claypool Announces Frizzle Fry Graphic Novel
"The thing about Barrington is... I've said this many times throughout the years and I've written a couple of songs about it... Barrington was like a living entity,"
"It was like a living being. You walked in and you could feel it. That's why I tried to really emphasize the notion of this place having a pulse because it felt like a living entity."
"As a longtime fan of Primus and someone who considers Frizzle Fry to be one of the greatest albums of all time, getting to help bring Les' vision to life on the page was a pleasure and a constant source of unexpected delight."
Frizzle Fry: Phantoms of Barrington Hall is a graphic novel arriving October 10 from Z2 Comics, penned by Les Claypool and illustrated by Cage Claypool and Abimael Hernandez. The illustrated storybook for adults draws on Primus’ early experiences playing shows in Berkeley and Les Claypool’s recollections of Barrington Hall, depicted as a living, pulsing entity influential to the Bay Area underground scene. Z2 will offer multiple editions including a standard, a slipcased deluxe, and a 500-copy Platinum edition featuring Les' signature, a green vinyl Frizzle Fry LP variant, three art prints, and three trading cards. Pre-orders are available via Z2 Comics.
