"In my early days of live performing I had several mentors who were kind enough to let me join in and play with them despite not being able to read charts, says Styx singer/guitarist Tommy Shaw. Rod Henley, Ricky Parsons, Bobby and Larry Moore, Eddie Wohlford, Wimpy Jones, Country Boy Eddie and others gave me a shot. And I am thankful for that. By the time Chicago released their first album, I had enough experience to begin learning their amazing music on my own."

By the time Chicago released their first album, I had enough experience to begin learning their amazing music on my own. Now, the idea of Styx touring with Chicago is a major thrill all on its own. We can't wait to spend the summer with them!"
Styx and Chicago will co-headline the 2026 Windy Cities Tour, a first-ever joint road show presenting their hits across U.S. amphitheatres. The tour opens July 13 in West Palm Beach and includes a Bay Area stop Sept. 4 at Toyota Pavilion in Concord. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Dec. 5 at livenation.com; a Citi cardmember presale begins Dec. 2, and the bands will run additional presales. Chicago is excited about touring with Styx, calling the pairing a fresh, fun collaboration, while Styx described the tour as a major thrill and looks forward to the summer run.
