Piebald announce first LP in over 15 years, share "Still on the Couch"
"Even when we are in our own homes, in the comfort of our supposedly personal surroundings, we are being fed propaganda to buy products and ideas that, we are told over and over again, will bring us happiness or freedom. We don't buy it!"
Piebald has announced Tales For The Rages, their first new album in over 15 years, arriving June 12 via Iodine. The album was written and recorded between 2019 and 2025, produced in part by Jay Maas and mastered by Jack Shirley. The lead single, "Still on the Couch," is an anthemic track addressing consumer propaganda and manipulation. Vocalist Travis Shettel explains the song critiques how propaganda infiltrates personal spaces to promote products and ideas as sources of happiness or freedom. An exclusive vinyl variant will be available for pre-order. Piebald will perform with The Format in Boston on March 26 at Roadrunner, with additional tour dates forthcoming.
