""I can't believe it's now been 50 years since Frampton Comes Alive! was released, but that record still feels like a living, breathing moment in my life," said Frampton in a press release. "When we decided to do this Vinylphyle edition, it was important to me that it be done the right way. I personally asked that the audio be sourced from the original 1975 Doug Sax production master because I wanted it to sound exactly as we heard it back then.""

A limited 2xLP Vinylphyle edition of Frampton Comes Alive! will be released January 22 via A&M/UMe, pressed on 180g black vinyl and sourced from the original 1975 production master. The package includes a four-panel insert featuring an interview with Anthony Fantano and is available for pre-order. The live album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in January 1976, spent ten weeks atop the chart, and is certified 8x Platinum. Frampton continues touring despite an IBM diagnosis and joined Pearl Jam onstage in Nashville in May 2025 to perform "Black". The release preserves the original live tracklist across two discs.
