Paz Lenchantin announced her debut solo album "Triste," scheduled for release on October 17 through her imprint, Hideous Human Records. The album was mixed by Chris Coady and features contributions from notable musicians Josh Freese and Troy Van Leeuwen. Lenchantin served as a member of Pixies from 2014 to 2024, taking over the role of bassist previously held by Kim Deal. In a statement, she expressed the personal significance of recording this album, emphasizing the healing and nurturing qualities of music.
"I had to make this record on my own, not to prove anything, but just to have faith that music can nurture me back. And it did."
Triste features contributions from drummer Josh Freese and guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen and is set to release on October 17 via Hideous Human Records.
