San Diego hardcore band Mizery announced a self-titled EP due March 20 via Flatspot after no releases since their 2016 LP Absolute Light. Drummer Cayle Sain died in 2023, but previously recorded drum parts for pre-production demos were recovered. Producer Taylor Young helped the band obtain those drum tracks and complete six songs. The EP's tracklist is Renegade Rhythm; 99 to 1; The Weapon Pt. I; The Weapon Pt. II; Through A Bullet Hole; and Eulogy. The lead single, "The Weapon Pt. II," features a music video by vocalist José Luna referencing early '80s hip hop and metal visuals. Mizery will play shows on 2/17 in San Diego and 2/18 in Phoenix with Spiritual Cramp.
