Ekko Astral released the album Pink Balloons in 2024, which earned strong recognition. The band has released several singles since that album, most recently the single "horseglue," which leans into noise rock. A video accompanies the "horseglue" single. Ekko Astral will support Mclusky on a March 2026 tour with performances at Treefort Music Festival in Boise, The Crocodile in Seattle, Aladdin Theater in Portland, The Chapel in San Francisco, and Regent Theater in Los Angeles. The band maintains roots in the DC punk scene while expanding its sonic range.
