Minus The Bear return from a seven-year hiatus to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Menos El Oso with a multi-city tour starting October 3 in Tacoma, WA. The itinerary includes Best Friends Forever festival in Las Vegas and three New York City shows at Brooklyn Steel and Irving Plaza, with Speedy Ortiz and Wild Arrows as support. Bassist Cory Murchy released a video discussing five albums by bands they toured with, spotlighting bass players he admires. The 20th anniversary deluxe edition via Suicide Squeeze includes a remastered LP, five unreleased demos, a Cory Murchy etching, and a 24-page archive photo journal; a coke bottle green vinyl variant is available.
Minus The Bear are back after a seven-year hiatus to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Menos El Oso, and to help mark the occasion, bassist Cory Murchy took us down memory lane with a video that finds him discussing 5 albums he loves by bands Minus The Bear toured with back in the day (with bass players that he has a soft spot for).
Minus The Bear also just released their 20th anniversary deluxe edition of Menos El Oso via Suicide Squeeze. It features a remastered version of the original album on one 12", and five unreleased original demos and an etching by none other than Cory Murchy on the flip side of the other, along with a 24-page archive photo journal from the band's personal collection called Los Archivos Del Oso.
The tour begins in proper on October 3 in Tacoma, WA and it includes Las Vegas' Best Friends Forever festival, three NYC shows, and more. The NYC shows happen at Brooklyn Steel on November 7, and Irving Plaza on November 8 & 9 with Speedy Ortiz on nights 1 & 2 and Wild Arrows on night 3.
