Metro Boomin, found not liable in rape lawsuit, eager to leave 'this nonsense behind'
"I'm grateful and thankful to God that I can finally put all of this nonsense behind me,"
"peace and love to the actual victims out there as well as the innocent and accused."
"second worst thing that ever happened to her,"
"pure shakedown."
A federal jury found hip-hop producer Leland Tyler Wayne (Metro Boomin) not liable in a civil sexual-assault case after nearly a year of litigation. The jury cleared Wayne of all four actionable claims brought by Vanessa LeMaistre following a brief trial that began Tuesday. LeMaistre filed the initial lawsuit in Los Angeles in October 2024 and said she and Wayne connected in spring 2016 amid mutual grief. She alleged the assault occurred in September 2016 at a recording studio, described the incident as the "second worst thing that ever happened to her," and said she underwent an abortion. Wayne's legal team denied the allegations, calling the complaint a "pure shakedown," and Wayne issued statements expressing gratitude and sending "peace and love" to victims and the innocent and accused.
